Product Details:
Excellent and diverse premium desert bioactive substrate suitable for many species of reptiles including but not limited to: bearded dragons, leopard geckos, and uromastyx. Along with a variety of plants, invertebrates, microfauna, and several other arid species. Providing no unnecessary ingredients, this substrate mix fixates on enabling burrowing behavior, retaining burrow structure, and allowing plants to thrive in desert conditions!

Ingredients:
- Organic Compost with detritus base blend to provide the microfauna the nutrition they need to thrive and keep your enclosure clean!
- Sand, pre-washed to limit potential respiratory issues.
- Volcanic rock to provide aeration, drainage, and heat retention.
- Volcanic Lava Dust to provide health benefits to your plants.
- Organic mycorrhizae fungi to establish beneficial microbes and bacteria, as well as contribute to the overall health of the substrate.
- Charcoal aids in increasing the growth of microbial life, while simultaneously assisting with soil aeration and providing ammonia capturing properties, limiting the bacteria buildup in your enclosure.

(All ingredients are organic and there are no chemicals or pesticides added)

Sterilization:

All sand and lava rock ingredients are washed and dried to remove any dust and other particles before added and mixed into our substrate.

All substrate is kept frozen in one of our freezers before purchase. This is to prevent pests and unwanted hitchhikers from contaminating the substrate. Freezing allows the substrate to retain all beneficial bacteria and microbial life without removing any nutrition for microfauna, unlike heat treating methods.
