Electric Blue Ahli (Sciaenochromis ahli)

The Electric Blue Ahli (Sciaenochromis ahli) is a vibrant African cichlid known for its striking blue coloration and is a popular choice for aquarists. These fish are native to Lake Malawi and can grow to be 6-8 inches long, requiring a spacious aquarium. Males are typically more colorful than females, developing a bright blue body with accents of yellow or orange on their fins. They are semi-aggressive, especially during breeding, and benefit from a larger tank with plenty of hiding spots.
