We use airtight sealed enclosures with high degree mesh for ventilation. This helps prevent pesky invaders such as gnats, mites, and other pests from invading your isopod terrarium! It also helps contain your isopods or other invetebrates from leaving the enclosure, and allows a higher degree of moisture retention for less frequent waterings.
Every isopod and invertebrate keeper at some point gets introduced to pests that they do not desire in their bins! We aim to help prevent that with the products we use.
Each 4qt enclosure is perfect for a starting colony and can easily hold up to 50 small-medium sized isopods before needing to upgrade!
Each 6qt enclosure can hold anywhere between 50 and 100 small-medium sized isopods before needing to upgrade! While these are not air tight like the 4qt option, the high degree mesh and locking lids still provide essential security for your animals!
This product comes preassembled so you don't have to do the dirty work of measuring and using holesaws to make your own. We recommend using a bag of our premium isopod substrate, leaf litter, and other terrarium building products in addition to this enclosure to make the perfect home for your animals!
