Betta Nemo (Male)

A male Betta Nemo is a Betta splendens with a unique, marbled coloration of orange, red, white, and black, resembling a clownfish, though the name refers to the color pattern, not the species itself. These "designer" strains are known for unpredictable, evolving patterns due to the marble gene and individual variations in fin shapes and sizes, such as the Halfmoon or Plakat. 

Appearance

• Coloration:Displays a striking and vibrant combination of orange, red, white, and black, sometimes with metallic blues or greens. 
• Marble Gene:Their patterns are a result of the marble gene, which causes them to change color over time, meaning no two Betta Nemo fish are exactly alike. 
• Fin Types:Can feature different fin shapes, including the long, flowing Halfmoon or the shorter, more agile Plakat style.

• Designer Strains:Betta Nemo is a specific color pattern within the Betta splendens species, bred for its distinctive appearance.

Behavior and Care

• Male Aggression:Like other male bettas, they are known to be aggressive and should be housed alone or with carefully chosen, peaceful tankmates. 
• Tank Requirements:Thrive in a minimum 5-gallon tank with a gentle filter and warm water, requiring regular maintenance and water changes. 
• Habitat:They are native to the shallow waters of Southeast Asia.
